Flossing and brushing your teeth are important if you would like to enjoy a healthy smile. You probably also understand that you should visit a dentist regularly if you have any problems like pain, a cracked tooth, or swollen gums. Still, would you be surprised to learn that you should see our dentist twice a year even if your teeth feel fine?

You see, even if you brush and floss your teeth every day, you could miss a few areas. If there are areas that you’re missing, tartar will begin to form on your teeth. Unfortunately, tartar might make your mouth more susceptible to gum disease. Tartar is also very hard to remove and can only be done safely by a dental professional.  When you visit our team, we’ll remove any tartar that may have formed and we will help you with your dental needs.

We’ll also inspect your pearly whites to see how we can help you to improve your oral health. Some issues like a chipped or missing tooth may be easy to notice, however, did you know that there are other dental issues that could be harder to identify? For instance, many people who have gum disease and tooth decay generally don’t realize it. While there are signs and symptoms that you can identify—such as bad breath and bleeding gums—our team is trained to spot these problems. Unfortunately, if these issues are not quickly addressed, you could end up losing your teeth. We’ll also screen you for problems like oral cancer.
